Hi All , I am sharing this recipe because it is super easy super yummy and super healthy. My husband loves it and eats it as side dish in his lunch box. My 2 years old daughter also enjoy’s it.  So, I thought why not to write it on blog site.

Ingredients :

  1. Rock salt or normal salt -1 teaspoon or as per taste.
  2. Mint powder  (optional)  – 3/4 teaspoon
  3. Roasted cumin seeds powder – 3/4 teaspoon
  4. Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon
  5. Black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Yogurt – 250 grams
  7. Milk – 50 ml
  8. Cucumber- 1 medium size

How to make

  1. No need to peel the cucumber , grate it just like that.Keep the cucumber juice.
  2. Add the yogurt in the bowl and stir the yogurt till smooth.
  3. Add mint powder , cumin seeds powder , salt , red chilli powder , black pepper and grated cucumber with its juice and mix it.

  1. Garnish it with coriander or mint leaves if it is available at home.
  2. Serve it with Indian bread or Rice.

Note :

  1. You can Customize thickness of of Raita by changing the quantity  of milk . You can use fresh mint leaves for better taste. But sometimes mint leaves are not available at home so I use mint powder.
  2. I used home made cumin seeds powder. You can use market one too or just roast the cumin seeds and grind it in the mixer or roll it with rolling pin.
